Ocean Conscious Restaurants helps you find places that cut single-use plastic, serve sustainably, and keep our coastlines clean.
Most of the plastic that ends up in the ocean starts as something ordinary — a clamshell, a lid, a bag. Restaurants make that decision hundreds of times a day, and the ones that have changed how they do it are hard to tell apart from the ones that have not. PLEET exists to make that difference visible at the moment someone is choosing where to eat. Plastic-free takeout is a small choice, but it is one that can be made every day, and it adds up.
Where the data comes from
Certified listings come from the Surfrider Foundation’s Ocean Friendly Restaurants program. Everything else is contributed: restaurant owners declare which practices they follow, and people who have eaten there confirm or contradict them. Scores are recalculated as ratings come in.
We do not inspect restaurants ourselves, and we say so plainly on every listing.
