For restaurant owners
You already made the change. Get credit for it.
Diners are looking for restaurants that cut single-use plastic and cannot tell which ones have. Claim your listing and make it obvious.
Why bother
Get found for the work you already do
If you switched off polystyrene or put straws behind the counter, almost nobody walking past knows. A listing puts it in front of people actively looking for it.
Correct what is shown
Listings are built from certification data and diner ratings, which means they can lag behind what you changed last month. Claiming yours lets you set the record straight.
See where the easy wins are
The fourteen practices are published with their weights. You can see exactly which change would move your score most before committing to it.
Claiming a listing
- 1
Find your restaurant
Search the directory. If it is not there yet, add it — it takes about two minutes.
- 2
Create an account and verify your email
Verification is required before a claim can be filed. We send the link the moment you sign up.
- 3
File a claim
Tell us your role and a contact email. A person reviews it before the listing is marked as owner-verified.
- 4
Keep it current
Update which practices you follow as things change. Diner ratings keep flowing in alongside.
Getting certified
A PLEET listing is not the same as being certified. Certification is run by the Surfrider Foundation and has its own criteria and application. If you already meet most of the fourteen practices, it is usually a shorter step than owners expect.
