Eco-Products is often the first compostable line a distributor will offer, because most of them carry it. The company lists more than 330 BPI-certified products, has been a certified B Corp since 2016, and sells a reusable line called Veda alongside its compostables. PLEET has no commercial relationship with Eco-Products and takes no payment for this page.

Ownership, stated plainly
Eco-Products is a brand of Novolex, a large packaging group which in April 2025 acquired Pactiv Evergreen, a major manufacturer of conventional plastic and foam foodservice packaging. Some advocates object to buying compostables from a parent that also sells the products they replace. Others take the view that the certifications are what matter. PLEET lists the brand because the products and the company are independently certified, and states the ownership so that a restaurant can decide for itself.
How to buy well
Check the specific product in BPI's catalogue before ordering, confirm that your hauler accepts it, and prefer the Veda reusable line for anything served on site. The labels page in this section explains why "compostable" is a floor and not a goal.
